We would like to present new software version, 1.3, which is implementing following upgrades:

- Faster unit initialisation.

After turning scooter on with master switch, actual settings are no more displayed on the screen, and unit is immediately in ready-to-drive mode. To check and adjust current settings, please hold right trigger, when turning on the unit. (no change with entering settings compared to 1.2 software)

- Acceleration characteristic customizable

In settings menu "lever gear", so far, user could change gear's RPM distribution, to allow for better speed matching with other units. We realised that, with ours simple gear-one-handed steering, this option is not used.
Insted of gear's RPM distribution, in 1.3 version user can choose there acceleration speed (softness of start), accoring to own preferences- from slow-normal-fast settings. Fast setting is ~30% faster than oryginal Seacraft speed of acceleration. This is applicable to gear 1-9, gear "+" is still a special booster gear, with it's own acceleration characteristic, adjusted to user drag, battery status, and steering.

- Double tap operation mode change.

"Double tap protection" is now turned off. That means, that any two-clicks on any trigger, done withing 0,6s time interval, will set unit to previously driven gear.
Before this, there was requirement that it had to be 2-first done clicks after inactivation. We received feedback, that when not realising that "time lock" was activated, sometimes coming back to driving after short stop was difficult, especially for users not used to Seacraft steering and unit customisation systems.
There is no-change in our "time lock" scooter runaway protection system, which can be set in 3-60s interval.

- Double tap highest gear mode improvement

Our "double tap" system, when driving on any gear, and holding one of the triggers- after two-clicks done on other trigger, is changing gear to gear 9 or other maximum gear available, to allow for fast acceleration and catching up with the team. Right now, when doing another two-click, scooter is dropping gear to previously driven one. With this funcionality, unit can be entirely used using only "two-click" system for acceleration, slowing down and restarting.

- Programming menu clean-up

Programming menu was cleaned from some develompent funcions which has not been implemented to regular units.

New post-swirl stator released 2017-12-12

Since the beginning of construction works, Seacraft scooters used innovative stator system, inspired by jet engine construction. All propellers work cause torque effect- natural consequence of it’s rotating action, what causes water stream to swirl, and creates turning force on scooter handle what increases diver’s fatigue.

Our system interacts with propeller slipstream, changing it’s swirl to net thrust- and ejects more uniform water collumn- what increases maneuverability and decreases silting when moving close to fine-sediments bottom.

Our previous alluminium design which was using curved flat plate was optimised for speed of 1m/s.

Due to much higher speeds obtainable with our DPV we redesigned this solution, using under-cambered airfoil, to allow for complete elimination of torque effect, in all speed ranges (created counterforce is proportional to water flow speed).

Special construction technology based on fiberglass reinforced polymers allowed also to decrease the total weight of this element by 300g, and make it almost neutral in water, for easiness of underwater scooter dismantling protocols. It also increased thrust by 2% compared to previous solution, at the same propeller RPM. This makes also Seacraft Future models weight only 15,9kg, ready to dive.

New post-swirl-stator is fully compatibile with older Seacraft units, and every scooter leaving the factory is now equiped with it.

Alluminium construction is still available on special order, when extreme mechanical resistance is required.
