Chris Jewell is an exploratory caver and cave diver who explores new cave passage in the UK and abroad. As a member of the British Cave Rescue Council he was one of the British cave divers who played a leading role in the 2018 Tham Luang Thailand cave rescue.
Over the last 14 years, Chris Jewell’s exploration has had him squeezing through tiny muddy underwater holes in Somerset, digging underwater in the Yorkshire Dales and leading cave diving expeditions to Spain and Mexico.
In 2013 his international team of more than 40 cavers established the Huautla cave system as the deepest in the Western hemisphere.
The experience and knowledge gained through these expeditions led to his involvement in the dramatic rescue of 12 boys and their football coach from a flooded cave in Thailand in 2018

My Seacrafts
I have the 2000Wh Ghost and the 1000Wh Future plus I also have the ENC. I love these scooters because they are fast, light to carry, easy to drive and manufactured to a very high standard. The unique and innovative fully immersed motor is really efficient and delivers lots of power. Plus if any dive line should get tangled in the prop I can easily free it. They are manufactured to a very high standard. Being lightweight means I can carry them to remote and difficult to reach places. I’ve got lots of exciting plans for exploration with these!
