The aim of the project is to develop a product innovation: an underwater modular water jet drive with a maximum power of up to 1 kW. The drive will be constructed based on the technology of contra-rotating screws, which, in comparison to classic solutions (based on one screw), will allow for increased drive efficiency (and therefore performance) and will reduce the drive reaction torque to practically zero, which is particularly important in the case of use by divers. Each screw will be independently powered by its own engine.
Project description
The R&D module will carry out development work on the water jet drive. The work carried out in the first stages of the project will include tasks related to numerical tests of brushless electric motors, numerical tests of hydrodynamic characteristics of the propeller, strength tests of propeller propellers, development of a hydrodynamic bearing, development of power supply control elements and structural elements, tests of models of electric motors, propellers, hydrodynamic bearing and control elements and structural elements will be carried out. The last stage of the R&D module will involve tests of drives used for diver drives and for kayaks, SUP boards and pontoons. The results of the research work obtained in the R&D module will be implemented into production as part of the implementation module.
