The Surveyor
The Surveyor is an accessory for ENC3 navigation console. It allows for measurement of tensioned lines, which are often used as reference – for example, for cave diving survey, or archeological survey.
While the DPV-mounted ENC3 survey is a very fast and precise measurement method, it will be difficult to use in tight environments (restricted caves), or with strong variable current present.
For the the highest accuracy level a permanent reference grid measurement is always the best option.

Rapid cave survey
For remote underwater cave exploration, the speed of the survey is essential. Using traditional slates and compasses is a very time-consuming method. The necessity to lay straight lines, and avoid placements sometimes forces to spend a lot of time laying exploration lines.
With The Surveyor, all needed is to simply dive through the cave, gently pushing the device on the line. Due to the constant measurement mode, the survey is made regardless of placements or complicated line positioning.
